Otocinclus is a genus of catfish in the family Loricariidae native to South America, commonly known as "dwarf suckers" or "otos". This genus, like other loricariids, is characterized by rows of armour plating covering the body, as well as the underslung suckermouth.
The Lima shovelnose catfish is a species of shovelnose catfish that are common throughout the Amazon and parts of South America. While they are an aggressive predatory species, the Lima shovelnose is one of the smaller Pimelodidae family species reaching between 14 to 18 inches within the aquarium environment.
BELIEVED TO BE THE ONLY ONE IN ALL OF EUROPE! Luciopimelodus pati is a South American species of freshwater long-whiskered catfish that inhabits the basin of the Río de la Plata and the Blanco River of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. Its scientific name originates from its common name patí, though it may be simply referred to as pez gato in Spanish.
