Temperature Range -22-27°C

pH Range - 5.5-7.5

Diet - Flame tetras will eat a variety of flake, live foods, frozen brine shrimp or bloodworms, mosquito larvae and daphnia are great treats. They will also eat organic material, such as algae.

Compatibility - Flame Tetras can be aggressive and are very active fish. That said if kept in big enough schools the aggression can be kept to a minimum.

Our juvenile fish will vary from the image shown as our images are to show the potential colours and markings when at a fully mature size.

Hyphessobrycon sweglesi is a species of tetra that lives in the Orinoco River drainage basin in South America. The fish has a round black spot behind the gill-plate, a black band on the dorsal fin that is bordered above and below by creamy-white. The other fins are red same as the upper rim of the eye.
